Checkout works through the Atome app or directly on the merchant's website. Registration is phone-number based, making it low-friction for first-time users. The same integration covers ecommerce and in-person via static or dynamic QR, which is uncommon for BNPL products and useful for merchants operating across both channels.

The commercial case is direct: Atome cites a 23% expected increase in order volume for merchants who offer it. At 5% plus a flat fee, the economics work if average order value is meaningful — the conversion uplift needs to justify the margin. For fashion, electronics, and lifestyle categories where basket sizes are higher and purchase hesitation is real, it usually does.
